Virtual assistants, in the right hands, can be great assets and investments that are worth one\’s money. Otherwise known as by the acronym VA, these assistants they can provide a variety of assistance for different clients with equally different needs without the need to be physically present at work.
Many online entrepreneurs opt to avail of their services for several good reasons, among which are the following benefits:
- VAs don\’t take up office space. They can work on their homes, or practically at any place where they can access the Internet, and you won\’t need to worry about overhauling your workplace set up to accommodate them. In this day and age where access to the Internet has become ubiquitous, VAs can work anywhere and still be able to provide the same service as a regular office-based employee.
- VAs operate using their own equipment and can find the right tools for whatever job is at hand. As such, you do not need to even think about spending a single dime to provide them with the hardware and software that they need to do your bidding. Some VAs even go so far as to purchase their own tools for that matter!
- VAs usually are the ones that take care of their own taxes. That\’s less paperwork for you, and less expense too. Furthermore, VAs pay for their equivalent of employment benefits on their own, so you won\’t need to oblige yourself to spend a little extra on health insurance premiums and the like. These can take up to 50% of the money that you end up paying full-time employees, so just imagine how much you will be saving when you avail of a VAs service.
- Hiring a VA is often a breeze. Many virtual assistants and virtual assistance companies streamline their business processes to get a VA working for you as soon as you have closed the deal. This depends on the VA or the company that you are dealing with, however—you\’re not going to get this benefit from shoddily-run businesses.
- You can easily begin and end a contract with a VA as needed. Virtual assistants are contractors and can work in an in-demand basis. Getting them to work for you for the long term can be very advantageous too, however.
- It is in the nature of a VA\’s profession to be flexible and accommodating to the client. They can shift their availability to suit their clients\’ needs, and can invest on the necessary tools in order to provide proper assistance.
These all said, hiring a virtual assistant has plenty of benefits, regardless if you are looking for a stopgap measure for staff shortage or if you need an extra hand for less expense. This is not to say that working with VAs is all flowers and rainbows, however. In our next article, we will be detailing the disadvantages of working with a remote virtual staff.
